February Meeting Notes

Daniel Bennett shared Katie B's efforts to try and gather as much data as we can to Good and Bad routes that bikers use to get around town. It was decided that if the map could be eventually printed in some fashion and provided to visiting or beginning cyclists would be a great audience. If you have anything to add to the discussion Katie has set up a Blog - https://wyobraskatandem.wordpress.com/…/scottsbluff-gering…/
Please contact her with any other info on good, bad and ugly routes around town.

LB39 is according to Nebraska Bicycling Alliance "It's still in committee, yes, but we are trying to get both LB 38 & 39 out, even if that means making some amendments to clarify the language."

Bike Rack update from Matt. Will be at the next meeting.

OTD meeting is Thursday the 26th at the OTD Building by the Legion baseball diamond. If anyone can make it that would be great. Please discuss Tshirts, Awards and volunteers. As for our club and the Hillclimb was discussed that we should test out any changes to how it's performed prior to the actual hillclimb. Everyone was in agreement that this would be a good idea.

Jerseys were tried on and we will hopefully have a final design come next meeting. I will probably be collecting for them then.

The Rebike? program will be on April 11th. This is the program that has been discussed before. Need some able bodied mechanics to take over the reins of a program that's been in the works for a few years. So if your interested it'll be at the NPPD Barn behind Safeway. Not sure on the time as of yet.

A Wildcat Hills "How to Mountain Bike" gathering was suggested. I suggested that we could meet Saturday afternoon and hike/repair the trails and then on Sunday we could ride them. This went over really well. We will have to choose a date.

I was contacted by Mike Kesselring who puts on a run up around Toadstool Park over Labor Day. He had interest in putting on a biking event and wanted our groups input. He was thinking later in the year. Something to think about.

Next meeting is March 14th at 4pm at Caddies.
